Chase for Business has rolled out Chase Payroll from Gusto to qualified Business Banking customers, adding payroll capabilities to Chase Business Online along with banking and payment functions. It is a response to rising requests from small businesses seeking integrated financial and workforce management solutions; Chase research found that 89% of business owners would appreciate handling their payroll and banking in a single platform, while 37% stated that payroll had strained cash flow over the last six months. “Small business owners are constantly balancing employees, customers, expenses and cash flow,” said Stevie Baron, CEO of Chase for Business. “They want tools that work together and make it easier to keep their business moving. That’s why we’re bringing payroll into Chase Business Online, giving business owners more flexibility with next-day processing.”

Powered by Gusto’s payroll technology, Chase Payroll allows businesses to manage employee and contractor payments, track payment status, onboard workers, and automatically calculate and file payroll taxes. Eligible Chase business checking customers can also access next-day payroll processing, while employee onboarding can be streamlined through prefilled information and self-service entry of tax and payment details. “For more than a decade, hundreds of thousands of small businesses have trusted Gusto to manage payroll, taxes and compliance,” said Tomer London, Co-founder at Gusto. “With Chase Payroll, powered by Gusto, we’re bringing that experience directly into the banking platform small businesses already use helping them pay their teams accurately and on time, stay current with changing requirements and spend more time running and growing their businesses.” The expansion further positions Chase for Business as a broader operational platform for small businesses, adding payroll to services such as invoicing, business analytics, credit insights, and retirement-plan integrations.
