Glassdoor Debuts Glassdoor Recruiter to Re-Engineers Modern Hiring

Share

Glassdoor has launched the Glassdoor Recruiter, an AI-powered job search experience. This feature is aimed at helping users land their ideal job and now offers smarter search results that are more tailored to a user’s skills, career aspirations and workplace preferences. Glassdoor Recruiter merges in fact’s large hiring marketplace with Glassdoor’s reviews and employer insights.

The launch comes amid increasing frustration among job seekers stuck in arduous mass listings and duplicative applications. A poll of Glassdoor Community members revealed that 81% of job seekers had delayed their search for a new role due to the process feeling overwhelming.

“For too long, professionals have been forced to navigate a hiring process built around volume scrolling through endless listings, mass applying, and hoping something sticks,” said Owen Humphries, Glassdoor President. “Glassdoor Recruiter flips that model. By combining what job seekers tell us about their goals with the authentic workplace insights only Glassdoor can provide, we’re helping people identify the roles that are most likely to be a fit before they apply.”

The platform evaluates users’ professional backgrounds, preferences and aspirations to generate a curated selection of relevant openings. Each recommendation includes a match score, company ratings and applicant experience information, enabling candidates to assess potential employers before submitting applications.

Glassdoor Recruiter also offers an option for professionals to make their profiles visible to employers. Users who enable this feature can allow hiring teams to review their profiles and resumes and contact them directly, creating another route to employment beyond traditional applications and referrals.

The service draws on Glassdoor’s workplace intelligence and Indeed’s job listings to connect candidates with opportunities that better reflect their requirements. The company aims to shift the emphasis from application volume toward stronger matches, helping candidates spend less time filtering unsuitable positions.

The launch reflects a broader effort to apply AI to practical challenges in recruitment. By combining personalized job recommendations with workplace transparency and employer discovery, Glassdoor is seeking to help professionals make more informed career decisions while giving organizations another way to connect with potential candidates.
