Equifax Strengthens Verification Capabilities with Acquisition of Vault Verify

Equifax has completed its acquisition of Vault Verify, a top provider of employment and income verification services. This move aims to improve the Workforce Solutions portfolio and strengthen The Work Number® database. Vault Verify’s real-time, API-driven verification technology will now be part of Equifax. This integration allows verifiers to access a larger and more reliable dataset. Consumers applying for jobs, mortgages, social services, and financial products will enjoy quicker and improved decision-making. “Our Purpose is to help people live their financial best. The acquisition of Vault Verify complements The Work Number and Equifax verification capabilities with additional information that can help streamline important financial moments for consumers,” said Mark Begor, Chief Executive Officer at Equifax.

Vault Verify, founded in 2012 and serving employers nationwide—with strong presence in the healthcare sector—provides outsourced verification services that will now integrate seamlessly through the Equifax Cloud. Joe Muchnick, Chief Operating Officer at Equifax Workforce Solutions, noted that the combined teams will deliver stronger, more efficient verification experiences, stating, “The addition of Vault Verify will help consumers get decisions more quickly when they’re applying for jobs, mortgages, social service benefits, and other financial services.” Vault Verify is now fully incorporated into the Equifax Workforce Solutions business unit.
