Helio AI, a U.S.-based recruiting platform built by a Georgian founding team, has secured a $1 million seed round to advance its AI-powered hiring technology and broaden its international reach. Led by SABAH.fund, the round also included DOMiNO Ventures, Axiom, Tetrad VC, and angel investor Bas Godska. The investment will fuel global scaling of Helio’s AI Recruiting Agent, deepen product innovation, and support rapid adoption in markets where frontline and high-volume hiring remains a major operational challenge.
Helio’s platform blends an intelligent, multilingual recruiting agent with game-based psychometric assessments, automating up to 70% of repetitive recruiter tasks. The system quickly identifies top applicants and enhances hiring accuracy for employers managing large applicant pipelines. The company has already demonstrated strong traction, following a prior $350,000 pre-seed round that enabled it to build its core AI framework and attract hundreds of brands across seven countries.
Co-founder and CEO Iako Jikia emphasized the strategic alignment with investors: “We’re thankful for the continued trust of our early investors and more than happy to welcome new ones. We choose our partners carefully, people who share our culture, energy, and way of working, because synergy matters when you’re building something big. This round marks an important step in scaling Helio globally and amplifying the impact we’re already creating across our markets.”

Investors highlighted Helio’s focus on solving what they see as one of HR’s biggest inefficiencies—manual, biased, and time-consuming frontline recruitment. SABAH.fund noted the company’s strong mission-market fit, while Axiom pointed to its ability to assess human capability “beyond the CV.” Tetrad VC underscored Helio’s organic, cross-border growth as a sign of real product-market fit, and DOMiNO Ventures praised the founders’ consistent execution and discipline.
With seasoned angel investor Bas Godska also joining the round, Helio AI now aims to accelerate global deployment of its recruiting agent and push the industry toward faster, fairer, and intelligence-driven hiring.
