Boomband, an AI-native talent marketplace founded by Jeff Taylor, the creator of Monster.com, has secured seed funding of $4.0 million before its imminent launch, led by Boston Seed, with participation from Slater Technology Fund, Rogue Venture Partners, and Service Provider Capital. The new marketplace seeks to disrupt a recruitment process that has been widely panned for its over-reliance on algorithms, keyword-submission resumes, and large volumes of low-quality applications that make job candidates feel invisible.

Boomband claims to be a human-centric solution that allows for more meaningful connections between talent and businesses using AI-generated signals, rather than applications. Peter Blacklow, Managing Director at Boston Seed Capital, said, “Boomband stood out because of the strength of its founding team and understanding of the evolving job market.” Jeff Taylor, Founder and CEO of Boomband, added, “LinkedIn is where careers go to scroll. We’re building Boomband for discovery.” The platform replaces resumes with dynamic “Dossiers,” introduces verified job signals, and creates a real-time discovery environment designed to restore trust, efficiency and humanity to hiring.
