Humand, an AI-powered platform designed to connect and empower deskless workforces, announced that it has raised $66 million in Series A funding to accelerate product innovation and global expansion. The funding round was co-led by Kaszek Ventures and Goodwater Capital, with participation from Y Combinator, Newtopia VC, and a group of prominent angel investors including Arash Ferdowsi, Guillermo Rauch, Martin Varsavsky, and Rajat Suri.
Founded in 2020 by Nicolás Benenzon and Gerónimo Maspero, Humand delivers a mobile-first HR platform that helps companies connect with frontline and operational employees who typically lack access to traditional enterprise software. The platform centralizes essential workplace tools such as internal communications, leave management, training, benefits access, and company documentation within a single digital environment accessible directly from mobile devices.
Deskless and frontline employees represent roughly 80% of the global workforce, spanning sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, retail, logistics, hospitality, and construction. Historically, most HR software has been designed primarily for office-based employees with corporate email access and desktop computers. Humand addresses this gap by providing organizations with an AI-native operating layer that connects every worker regardless of location, role, or shift schedule through an intuitive mobile application.
Humand’s platform integrates more than 30 modular features that streamline HR operations and workforce engagement. These capabilities enable employees to request time off, access company policies, receive updates, complete training modules, and communicate with teams in real time. AI-driven workflows embedded within the system also automate routine HR tasks, allowing organizations to reduce manual administrative workloads while improving responsiveness to employee needs.

A central component of the platform is Sammy, Humand’s AI-powered HR assistant. The tool enables employees to ask natural-language questions about company policies, benefits, or leave balances and receive immediate answers based on company data. By automating repetitive queries and administrative processes, the assistant enables HR teams to focus more on strategic initiatives such as talent development and workforce engagement.
“Our goal is very simple: We want to become the default operating system for companies with deskless workers,” said Nicolás Benenzon, CEO and Co-founder of Humand.
Investors expressed strong confidence in Humand’s approach to redefining workplace software for operational teams. Eric Kim, co-founder and managing partner of Goodwater Capital, highlighted the platform’s ability to transform enterprise workflows through embedded AI.
“Humand’s mobile-first AI agent platform serves as an intelligent, real-time layer between companies and their frontline teams,” said Eric Kim, co-founder and managing partner of Goodwater Capital. “By embedding AI agents across communication, HR, and operations, Humand transforms workplace software from static systems of record into dynamic systems of action.”
The company has experienced significant adoption since its launch, with more than 1.6 million employees across over 1,500 organizations in 50+ countries using the platform. Customers include major global enterprises such as Siemens AG, The Home Depot, Deere & Company, MINISO, Domino’s Pizza, and OXXO.
With the new funding, Humand plans to accelerate its global expansion, particularly across the United States, Europe, and emerging international markets. The investment will also support continued development of AI-powered capabilities that automate workforce management processes such as onboarding, employee support, and internal communication.
As enterprises increasingly prioritize workforce connectivity and employee experience, Humand aims to establish itself as the AI operating system for frontline and deskless workers, helping organizations digitize communication, HR processes, and operational workflows through a single, mobile-first platform.
