Share

SmartRecruiters has announced a suite of brand new AI-powered features which are set to dramatically change the way firms hire. It is a major step towards fully automated and smart talent acquisition. To 2026 and beyond, the company shared a plan with features including agentic interviewing, better candidate engagement tools, CRM automation, as well as deepening of the existing SAP SuccessFactors integration.

At the heart of the transformation is Winston, SmartRecruiters’ AI recruitment assistant, whose primary mission is help recruiters at every stage of the hiring process. Functioning as an orchestrating medium, Winston enables the recruitment teams to source, evaluate, and interact with candidates in the most efficient way while at the same time reducing the biases and manual efforts.

Rebecca Carr, CEO of SmartRecruiters, emphasized the impact of its association with SAP in accelerating innovation. “SmartRecruiters’ mission is to make hiring easy – a simple statement with a big promise. Being part of SAP has dramatically accelerated our ability to realize this ambition. We now have visibility into some of an organizations most critical data sets from employee performance to business growth to organizational intelligence. This access, coupled with the world’s leading engineers and industry experts, have played a part in delivering the momentum and innovation we are showcasing today.”

New enhancements to Winston include an on-demand AI interviewer for first-round screenings, conversational chat tools to improve candidate completion rates, and advanced matching capabilities that score applicants across skills, education, and experience. Early results indicate faster decision-making, improved application completion, and higher-quality candidate recommendations.

SmartRecruiters is also changing the way CRM systems work by offering an agentic model. This would actively engage talent pools instead of just passively storing candidate data. It would also allow automated outreach and re-engagement through multiple communication channels, which would help organizations discover hidden talent.

Moreover, the company gave a sneak peek of an integration that would be so smooth with SAP SuccessFactors that it would offer single access, synchronized data, and onboarding tools with guidance to make it easier for people to get used to it. In response to increasing worries about fake applications, SmartRecruiters showed a new fraud detection system that uses behavioral and device data to identify potentially fraudulent candidates.

“What we’re building is a fundamentally new hiring experience – one that brings together innovations across conversational AI, automation and deep intelligence matching into a single, cohesive workflow,” said Shiran Yaroslavsky, SVP of Product at SmartRecruiters. “We are structurally reshaping SmartRecruiters to be end-to-end agentic, whilst being human-centric by design. From screening and engagement through to decision making, each capability is designed to empower recruiters so they can find the right candidates, faster.”

With these advancements, SmartRecruiters is positioning itself at the forefront of AI-driven recruitment transformation.
