Lattice Acquires Pando to Drive Continuous AI-Native Performance

Share

Enterprise HR and talent management platform Lattice announced the strategic acquisition of Pando, a just-in-time performance management platform. As part of the transaction, Pando founder and CEO Barbra Gago will join Lattice’s executive leadership team as Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer. The acquisition accelerates Lattice’s vision to build an AI-native talent ecosystem where human teams and artificial intelligence operate in tandem to elevate organizational output.

The acquisition brings additional AI-native product and software engineering expertise to Lattice. By merging Pando’s competency-based progression tools and real-time operational signals with Lattice’s feedback, goal-setting, and 1:1 engagement features, the unified platform establishes a continuous performance framework embedded directly into daily digital workflows.

Connecting People and AI Strategy to Measurable Business Outcomes

While global enterprises continue investing heavily in artificial intelligence infrastructure, many organizations struggle to align these technical tools with employee performance frameworks. As automation transforms everyday job requirements and skill sets, human resource leaders require structured data systems to evaluate how AI adoption amplifies human performance across distributed teams.

Lattice addresses this capability gap by delivering trusted talent intelligence that links workforce development directly to business results.

“The next era won’t be defined by which companies deploy the most AI. It will be defined by which companies invest in the performance of their people and use AI to multiply human impact,” said Sarah Franklin, CEO of Lattice. “Pando brings AI-native technology and talent that accelerate that mission. I’m thrilled to have Barbra bring her leadership and experience to our executive team as we lead what comes next.”

Reinventing Performance Management for the AI Era

The rapid pace of technological change is shifting the responsibilities of Chief People Officers (CPOs). Rather than managing static, annual review cycles, HR executives must continuously analyze emerging skill trends, evaluate workforce capabilities, and adapt team structures in real time.

Barbra Gago, who previously built category-defining brands at Culture Amp, Greenhouse, and Miro prior to founding Pando, will lead Lattice’s marketing organization while shaping its long-term strategy.

“AI gives us an opportunity to turn performance into an engine for building capability and compounding employee impact,” said Barbra Gago, founder and CEO of Pando and incoming Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer at Lattice. “Lattice is uniquely positioned to lead this transformation, and I’m thrilled to join the team to help shape what high-performing companies look like in the AI era.”

Expanding the Infrastructure for Continuous Talent Intelligence

The acquisition of Pando builds upon Lattice’s ongoing AI investments, including its recent acquisition of Mandala’s AI-native coaching software and the launch of Lattice MCP (Model Context Protocol), which embeds trusted performance data into everyday workplace productivity software.

“Having worked with Pando in the past and Lattice at Mozilla now, this combination is exactly what the market needs,” said Mark Frein, Chief People Officer at Mozilla. “Pando brings an AI-first, competency-based approach that complements Lattice’s deep performance expertise. Together, they’re well positioned to help organizations rethink performance for an AI-native world and give People leaders the tools and confidence to lead that transformation.”
