Appspace has enhanced its integration with Microsoft Places. This update offers a smoother way for organizations to use workplace intelligence in shared spaces. Announced in Barcelona, it now embeds Microsoft Places data into Appspace kiosks, digital signage, and workplace services. This helps employees and visitors navigate offices, find resources, and manage spaces better.
By merging Microsoft Places’ mapping and space data with Appspace’s platform, organizations can show interactive floor plans on screens in offices and campuses. Employees can check real-time availability, find desks or meeting rooms, and make reservations easily. Visitors also receive better guidance as they move through new spaces. The integration extends beyond navigation, incorporating advanced space reservation, wayfinding, and visitor management features that turn static data into everyday workplace interactions.
“When workplace data is easy to access, people use spaces more effectively,” says Paul Alley, Vice President of Global Partnerships at Appspace. “Our integration with Microsoft Places brings workplace information to life on screens and kiosks, making it easier for employees and visitors to navigate offices and shared spaces with confidence.”

The enhanced integration supports several common workplace scenarios. Interactive wayfinding tools help people orient themselves quickly, while reservation capabilities allow employees to secure desks and meeting rooms using Microsoft Places data surfaced through Appspace. Visitor management is also made easier with organized invitation, check-in, and check-out procedures linked to the fundamental office systems. Moreover, the integrated data from both platforms provides a better understanding of space utilization for more informed decisions.
The news comes as Microsoft is exhibiting Microsoft Places, together with partner integrations that expand the office data into the physical space, during the ISE 2026 event. The involvement of Appspace indicates the increasing partnership between the two companies to connect digital solutions and physical experiences.
“Microsoft Places helps organizations understand and coordinate how physical spaces are used,” says Brennan McReynolds, Strategy and Partnerships Lead for Microsoft Places. “Working with partners like Appspace extends that information into shared environments, making it easier for people to access workplace details as they move through offices and campuses.”
Appspace plans to keep improving the integration as workplace needs change. This will strengthen the link between digital workplace data and the physical spaces where work occurs.
