ControlUp Strengthens Autonomous Endpoint Vision with Unipath Acquisition

ControlUp has acquired Unipath, an AI-driven security automation and SOAR platform, in a move that significantly advances its strategy around Autonomous Endpoint Management (AEM). The acquisition expands ControlUp’s artificial intelligence capabilities by introducing an agentic AI framework designed to diagnose issues, learn from user behavior, and generate remediations automatically—without requiring IT teams to manually design or maintain automation workflows.

ControlUp is already known for its real-time Digital Employee Experience (DEX) visibility, capturing telemetry every three seconds across thousands of endpoint signals. By integrating Unipath’s technology, the company is moving beyond static, rule-based automation toward a self-learning model that adapts actions based on context, live data, and employee interactions. The result is a more dynamic approach to endpoint management that can anticipate problems and continuously improve outcomes.

“We’re taking Autonomous Endpoint Management from vision to reality for our customers, delivering real value to IT teams and better experiences for employees,” said Jed Ayres, CEO of ControlUp. “By bringing Unipath’s agentic AI into the ControlUp platform, we can resolve issues directly and in real-time, often without involving the helpdesk. And we’re doing this with the governance and security standards required by banks, hospitals, and global enterprises, so a self-healing workplace becomes not just possible, but practical and trusted.”

Unipath brings deep expertise in contextual decision-making and rapid automation, with a platform that has helped organizations cut incident response times by as much as 90 percent. Its ability to unify data from dozens of systems into a single operational view is expected to accelerate ControlUp’s automation roadmap and improve time to value for customers.

“Unipath was founded to simplify automation so security teams can handle more with less effort,” said Mike Admon, Founder and CEO, Unipath. “By combining our agentic AI with ControlUp’s real-time DEX platform, we’re creating something entirely new. We are delivering technology that understands the problem, determines the action, and creates the resolution on its own. We’re joining ControlUp because we share a vision for AI that reduces complexity and helps organizations operate without friction.”

Following the acquisition, ControlUp’s AI strategy spans intelligent insights, conversational self-service, and agentic automation. Unipath capabilities will be rolled into the ControlUp ONE platform in phases throughout 2026, with early access planned for select customers and partners.
