ViaPath and CareerSafe Partner to Expand Training in Corrections

Share

ViaPath Technologies, a leading provider of secure communications and technology solutions for correctional facilities, has announced a strategic partnership with CareerSafe, a recognized leader in online workforce development and safety education. Through this collaboration, eligible users of ViaPath’s Inspire® tablet platform will gain access to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)-authorized safety training programs designed to support workforce readiness and long-term employability.

The partnership introduces CareerSafe’s nationally recognized safety education courses directly through the Inspire tablet ecosystem, helping learners build practical workplace safety skills while earning valuable industry credentials.

Participants in this program will be given the opportunity to enroll in CareerSafe’s OSHA 10-Hour and OSHA 30-Hour courses. The 10-Hour class is designed to get students familiar with some of the most important health and safety fundamentals in the workplace. Then again, those who take the 30-Hour course are equipped with in-depth knowledge on how to identify various dangers, issues, and safety problems that employees may face daily at work, as well as methods for how to avoid, reduce, and manage with them effectively. So, by earning both training certificates simultaneously, the students will not only get skills that correspond to the job they are aiming for, but will also be able to put credentials on their resumes that potentially give them an advantage in the employment market.

CareerSafe’s role as an authorized provider of OSHA 10-Hour training through the U.S. Department of Labor further strengthens the value of the program. This authorization enables CareerSafe to deliver recognized safety education within workforce development and educational environments, helping individuals prepare for successful careers while building foundational workplace knowledge.

“Expanding access to meaningful educational and workforce training opportunities is central to our mission,” said Deb Alderson, CEO of ViaPath Technologies. “Our partnership with CareerSafe helps bring highly respected vocational OSHA training programs to more learners while strengthening the continuum of services available through ViaPath’s secure technology ecosystem.”

The initiative builds on ViaPath’s existing collaboration with CypherWorx and expands the educational resources available to agencies and institutions. CareerSafe’s offerings will serve as a premium addition to the extensive catalog of more than 300 complimentary eLearning courses already accessible through the platform.

“People who are currently incarcerated will almost all return to our communities one day — 95 percent of them, in fact,” said Ben Jones, Sales Executive, Corrections. “Our courses provide lifetime credentials, helping those individuals to find life-sustaining work, which is a key indicator in reducing recidivism, expanding access, and preparing learners for safer workplaces and stronger career outcomes.”

As part of the partnership, CypherWorx will facilitate secure distribution of CareerSafe’s OSHA 10-Hour training and Employability Skills curriculum. This integration expands the reach of workforce development programs while providing correctional and institutional organizations with additional tools to support education, vocational training, and career preparation.

“At CypherWorx, we are committed to delivering secure, scalable learning solutions that expand access to high-quality education and workforce development,” said Mike Maether, President of CypherWorx. “By partnering with ViaPath Technologies and CareerSafe, we can securely provide OSHA-authorized training to more learners in correctional and institutional settings. This collaboration helps our customers strengthen safety outcomes, broaden access to industry-recognized credentials, and better prepare individuals for successful reentry into the workforce.”

The introduction of the system happens as the craving for credential-based educational programs that can enhance one’s employability and at the same time support successful reentry outcomes is on the rise. After the initial contact with correctional education providers and training organizations capable of working within the institution, it became clear that the main challenge was finding workforce development solutions that are not only accessible but will also provide the learners with the practical skills needed to be career-oriented.

Providing more people with access to OSHA-authorized training and plus industry-recognized certification, ViaPath is taking a step towards furthering its dedication to the education, workforce readiness, and success eventually of the individuals who are being served by the correctional and institutional partners. Via technology that is innovative and through partnering with companies that are well positioned, the company is continuously working towards job creation, making workplaces safe, and building stronger communities.
