Alight, Inc. has announced a strategic collaboration with VB Scout to strengthen the value of voluntary benefits by integrating VB Scout’s claims integration technology into the Alight Worklife® platform. The solution combines medical claims data, voluntary benefits plan documents, and employee eligibility records to identify instances where employees may qualify for benefits claims but have not filed them. When such opportunities are detected, employees receive timely, personalized notifications encouraging them to submit claims for benefits such as accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and wellness coverage.

“Voluntary benefits are only as valuable as the claims employees actually file and far too often, those claims go unfiled because employees don’t know they qualify or simply forget they have coverage,” said Karen Frost, Senior Vice President, Health and Navigation Solution Leader at Alight.
