Ashby has announced the upcoming launch of its AI Interviewer solution following its acquisition of AI interviewing startup Talent Llama, marking the company’s expansion into AI-driven recruitment workflows. Revealed at the Ashby One conference, the new capability enables organizations to conduct structured, conversational AI screening interviews directly within Ashby’s unified hiring platform, with interview insights automatically integrated into scheduling, evaluations, reporting, and hiring decisions. The move follows Ashby’s internal use of AI interviewing in 2025 and growing customer demand for scalable recruitment solutions amid rising application volumes.

According to Ashby, 36% of candidates voluntarily selected AI interviews over traditional recruiter screenings, with the company already extending offers to candidates identified through the process. “We were reasonably skeptical of AI interviewing at first,” said Benji Encz, CEO and co-founder of Ashby. “What changed was seeing it work in our own hiring process. When it’s designed to feel natural and useful for candidates, it becomes a lot more compelling which is why we’re building it directly into our platform.” The integrated solution emphasizes transparency, human oversight, and structured evaluation to improve both hiring efficiency and candidate experience.
