Share

Mappa, a Miami-based voice-AI platform that analyzes vocal biomarkers to decode human behavior, has raised $3.4 million in an oversubscribed seed round led by Draper Associates, with participation from Serac Ventures, Riverwalk Capital, Angel Squad, SoGal Ventures, and others. The funding will accelerate the scaling of Mappa’s enterprise product and deepen integrations with major ATS platforms. Designed to reduce bias and improve hiring accuracy, Mappa evaluates over 30 vocal biomarkers—including speech rate, pause frequency, and verb/noun usage to provide predictive insights into how candidates handle pressure, communicate intent, and demonstrate ownership, all within 60 seconds.

“We’re entering a new era where behavior is finally measurable, and that changes everything we know about hiring,” said Sarah Lucena, Founder and CEO of Mappa. Backer Tim Draper added, “Resumés tell you the highlights of what someone has done – Mappa AI shows you how they’ll perform in the real world.” Already adopted by over 100 companies across the U.S. and LATAM, Mappa has saved enterprises thousands per hire, accelerated decision-making, and delivered same-day hiring outcomes, positioning itself as a transformative force in talent acquisition.
