Skillit Partners With DPR and Suffolk to Scale AI Hiring

Share

Skillit, an AI-powered hiring platform focused on the construction industry, has announced a strategic partnership with DPR Construction and Suffolk Technologies, the venture capital affiliate of Suffolk Construction, to help address the ongoing skilled labor shortage across the sector. The collaboration includes equity investments from WND Ventures, DPR’s venture arm, and Suffolk Technologies, reinforcing industry confidence in AI-driven workforce infrastructure. As part of the agreement, DPR and Suffolk will serve as national-scale design partners, helping Skillit enhance its platform, expand its network of vetted craft workers, and accelerate the development of automation, workflows, and data capabilities.

“The world’s ambition has outpaced its capacity to build, and today we lack both the skilled workforce and the systems needed to deploy that talent to deliver America’s most mission-critical projects,” said Fraser Patterson, Founder & CEO of Skillit. “Skillit’s mission is to solve construction’s labor shortage, starting with fixing access to the millions of skilled workers who already exist. Having strategic partners like DPR and Suffolk Technologies supporting that mission is a strong signal that the industry is ready for, and consolidating around, a new category of AI-powered craft hiring infrastructure.” Construction giant Swinerton, Mortenson, and Brasfield & Gorrie are just a few among many major construction firms that have started implementing Skillit. This places the company as something important in bringing construction labor sourcing, deployment, and workforce management to the level of modernity and scalability.
