Workday Launches Global Developer Network and Partners with Google BigQuery to Advance AI Innovation

Workday has expanded its open ecosystem with the launch of a new global developer network and a strategic partnership with Google BigQuery, announced at Workday Rising EMEA. The developer network opens access to Workday AI tools through Workday Build, offering hands-on training, certifications, and workforce readiness programs delivered in partnership with universities such as Chennai Institute of Technology and KL University, along with staffing partners including Consultnet, Helios Consulting, and Randstad Digital. Developers who complete the program will earn a Workday Pro Developer Certification and be featured in the Workday Talent Directory.

“With the launch of our global developer network and Google BigQuery joining Workday Data Cloud, we’re opening our ecosystem in ways that meaningfully expand what’s possible for customers,” said Gerrit Kazmaier, president of product and technology, Workday. As the newest Workday Data Cloud partner, BigQuery offers secure, zero-copy access to trusted HR and finance data. This allows customers to create predictive models and integrate AI-driven insights into Workday. The company also announced its planned acquisition of Pipedream. Recent purchases of Sana and Flowise will boost its AI agent platform. This will also expand integrations with thousands of enterprise systems.
