Employ Unveils AI Screening Companion to Transform Fair, Fast, and Transparent Hiring

Share

Employ Inc. has introduced its latest innovation—the AI Screening Companion—designed to streamline talent evaluation while enhancing fairness and transparency across the hiring journey. The launch expands Employ’s growing suite of AI-driven tools across JazzHR, Lever, and Jobvite, further reinforcing the company’s commitment to people-first, intelligent hiring.

Developed using IBM watsonx.governance, the AI Screening Companion offers recruiters real-time, explainable insights that go far beyond traditional automated screening. The tool continuously matches applicants to open roles, flags candidates showing signs of disengagement, and sends tailored feedback to those not selected—ensuring consistency, clarity, and improved candidate experience. With embedded bias monitoring and audit-ready controls, the system is built to support ethical and compliant AI adoption.

The new companion introduces several key features, including proactive talent matching with role-fit explanations, alerts when top candidates may be losing interest, and automated, personalized rejection feedback that strengthens employer branding without increasing recruiter workload.

“Recruiters don’t need another complex system or black-box AI — they need a partner that makes hiring more human,” said Dara Brenner, Chief Executive Officer at Employ. “Employ’s new AI Screening Companion delivers intelligent, transparent support that helps our customers find qualified talent faster, understand why they are a fit, and re-engage before candidates slip away… We’re empowering our customers to hire smarter and with confidence, not compromise.”

The need for such technology is clear: traditional ATS systems filter out 75% of applicants, yet a third of recruiters still struggle to find suitable candidates. High-volume screening also contributes to widespread ghosting, with 80% of job seekers reporting poor communication.

“Candidates deserve clarity and respect, even when they’re not selected,” added Stephanie Manzelli, Chief Human Resources Officer at Employ. “This is where AI can make hiring more human, not less.”

Launching first for Lever users, the AI Screening Companion marks another step in Employ’s broader mission to embed responsible, transparent AI throughout the hiring lifecycle.
