Zoom Communications has launched Zoom Workplace for Frontline, a mobile-first solution designed to enhance communication and task management for frontline workers across industries like retail, healthcare, manufacturing, and emergency services. The platform integrates Zoom AI Companion to automate shift-based tasks, provide real-time updates, generate shift summaries, and streamline handoffs between teams. Features include push-to-talk, real-time activity feeds, task management via Zoom Tasks, and AI-driven capabilities like smart search across knowledge bases and automatic language translation.

Zoom also introduced shift-based chat groups and shift-swapping tools to improve flexibility and engagement on the job. Smita Hashim, Chief Product Officer at Zoom, said, “Zoom Workplace for Frontline empowers frontline workers to stay connected, access critical information on the go, and streamline daily tasks – ultimately fostering a more engaged, productive, and connected workforce.” With this release, Zoom extends its AI-first open work platform to meet the evolving needs of the often-overlooked frontline workforce, aiming to improve both efficiency and employee experience.
