ISG to Evaluate Workday Ecosystem Providers Across U.S., Europe, and APAC

Share

Global technology research and advisory firm Information Services Group (ISG) has launched a new research initiative to assess the competitive positioning and capabilities of service providers operating within the Workday ecosystem. The study will be published in the ISG Provider Lens™ Workday Ecosystem reports, set for release in September 2025.

The reports will analyze the performance of Workday partners supporting human capital management (HCM) transformations across the U.S., Europe, and Asia-Pacific. With Workday’s recent Spring 2025 release introducing over 350 new features—including Workday Illuminate, Workday Orchestrate, and AI agents for HR and finance—ISG will evaluate how providers are integrating these tools to drive workforce productivity and streamline HR operations.

“Workday’s ability to ensure superior user experience has led it to capture more than 40 percent of the cloud HCM market,” said Aman Munglani, director and principal analyst at ISG Provider Lens Research. “The introduction of AI agents for HR and finance will transform enterprises’ business models, reinforcing Workday’s commitment to innovation and enhanced user experience.”

The Workday Ecosystem study will include four key evaluation categories:

  • Transformation Services: Examining providers’ consulting and advisory capabilities, digital HCM transformation strategies, and expertise in organizational change management.

  • Deployment and Integration Services: Assessing providers on their ability to deliver core implementations, handle complex integrations, and ensure data migration readiness tailored to specific industries.

  • Performance and Optimization Services: Evaluating post-deployment support, including application management, change management, and customized optimization aligned with business needs.

  • Innovation on Workday: Reviewing providers’ innovation through Workday Extend and Illuminate, highlighting the development of tailored or industry-specific applications available in the Workday Marketplace.

ISG has reached out to more than 70 Workday partners across the target regions. Research will be led by ISG analysts Ashwin Gaidhani (U.S. and APAC) and Gaurang Pagdi (Europe). The reports aim to help enterprise buyers assess vendors and guide ISG’s own client recommendations.

All 2025 ISG Provider Lens™ studies will feature enhanced customer experience (CX) metrics based on ongoing research. Enterprises are encouraged to participate in a CX survey to contribute feedback about their experiences with specific providers and will receive a copy of the report for their input.
