Aegon Names Jennifer Palmieri as Chief Human Resources Officer

Aegon has announced the appointment of Jennifer Palmieri as its new Chief Human Resources Officer and member of the company’s Executive Committee, effective June 29, 2026. Palmieri succeeds Holly Waters, who will retire on June 1 after serving in the role.

The leadership appointment comes at a pivotal time for Aegon as the company continues to evolve its organizational structure and prepare for the transition of its head office and legal seat to the United States. In her new position, Palmieri will oversee the company’s global people strategy, focusing on talent development, leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, and workforce transformation initiatives designed to support long-term growth.

Palmieri brings more than 25 years of human resources leadership experience across the insurance and healthcare sectors. Most recently, she served as Chief People Officer at Westfield Insurance, where she led workforce and talent strategies for the international property and casualty insurer. Prior to that, she spent nearly two decades at Cigna, holding several senior HR leadership roles and ultimately serving as Senior Vice President, Human Resources Officer.

Throughout her career, Palmieri has developed expertise in organizational transformation, operating model redesign, leadership development, and employee experience. Her background in guiding large-scale workforce initiatives is expected to play a key role as Aegon continues to strengthen its leadership capabilities and align its people strategy with broader business objectives.
