Kahuna Workforce Solutions has launched Kahuna Skills Aggregator, a new product designed to help organizations incorporate frontline employees into skills-based workforce strategies by converting validated frontline skills into a common enterprise capability language. This solution will address challenges faced by organizations in energy, manufacturing, healthcare, and field services, where the data of frontline skills is generally collected at a per-site level but is not easy to leverage at an organizational level when it comes to workforce planning and talent management. Skills Aggregator leverages skills which have been validated using Kahuna Skills Manager through assessments, sign-offs, and certifications and then aligns those skills with a capability framework. The platform can also identify where critical capabilities depend on only a small number of employees, highlight workers who are closest to readiness, and help leaders determine where training or hiring may be needed ahead of operational changes, workforce transitions, or major projects.

It can feed validated skills data into existing workforce planning and HCM platforms, including Workday Skills Cloud and SAP Talent Intelligence Hub, while connecting with systems from Oracle, SAP, and UKG. “The pace of change on the frontline keeps accelerating,” said Jai Shah, chief executive officer of Kahuna. “New product lines, a retirement wave or shifts in technology and infrastructure are constantly challenging leaders to reevaluate their organizational capabilities quickly. In most cases, organizations are finding out the frontline skills they need and the gaps they have at the same moment they need to fill them. Skills Aggregator gives them the ability to plan ahead so the decision-making process when change is needed is more strategic, rather than a fire drill.” The commercial launch expands Kahuna’s role in helping enterprises use frontline workforce data for more proactive skills planning and organizational capability management.
