ATD Research Highlights the Expanding Impact of E-Learning in the Workplace

A new research report has been published by the Association for Talent Development (ATD), and it has been found that e-learning is a fundamental part of learning in the workplace, and it has been adding value to the employees as well as the organization. The report, “Beyond the Basics: How Organizations Are Personalizing and Enhancing E-Learning,” found that e-learning is most commonly used for mandatory training, and three-quarters of organizations reported that at least half of their learning programs were delivered digitally.

The report also indicates that the flexibility, reach, and cost-effectiveness of e-learning continue to be the major drivers for its adoption. The report also indicates that more than 80 percent of organizations are personalizing e-learning content to improve engagement and reach, and 65 percent of organizations are using AI to develop learning content. Interestingly, 30 percent of respondents also indicated that AI has improved the overall quality of their e-learning content. The report is based on a survey of 254 talent development professionals.
