Workhuman Launches Frontline Recognition Experience to Bridge the Deskless Workforce Gap

Share

Workhuman unveiled its Frontline Recognition Experience, which is a new way to enhance visibility and involvement for deskless employees within global organizations. The company is enhancing its employee recognition platform to provide better access for frontline employees who tend to be excluded from much of the digital functionality that other employees access.

The hypothesis was created to combine recognition so that the benefits of digital and in-the-moment recognition could be accumulated into one application. The application would allow organizations to record and report on recognition events across all employee groups and give leaders measurable data about engagement, performance and culture.

The launch seeks to fill a long-standing gap in how organizations recognize hourly employees. Just 33% of deskless workers said they received an official recognition in the last quarter, even though 75% said that being recognized helps their contributions feel more visible, according to Workhuman’s 2026 Humans at Work Barometer. In making recognition easier and more reliable, Workhuman is trying to change that.

“Frontline workers are too often overlooked in the broader conversation about what it means to feel valued at work,” said Eric Mosley, CEO of Workhuman. “In many organizations, their experience of recognition is not as consistent or as rich. When a large portion of the workforce isn’t experiencing recognition in a modern, inclusive, accessible way, organizations are limiting the impact of their culture — and the performance that comes from it.”

The Frontline Recognition Experience is designed for deskless industries such as manufacturing healthcare retail and logistics. It allows colleagues to recognize each other across a variety of channels so no matter where they are based or what their role has access to recognition.

The focus on recognition data and experience allows Workhuman and its clients to gain a better understanding of how engaged their people are, all while continuing to build a culture of appreciation. Workhuman’s company said that this latest launch “takes the next step towards not only unifying employee experience across every level of the organization-allowing every worker, whether they’re in the front line or in the office, to feel appreciated.
