Workstream and Instant Financial Partner to Modernize Payroll Access for Hourly Workers

Share

Workstream, a hiring and onboarding platform designed for the hourly workforce, has announced a strategic partnership with earned wage access provider Instant Financial to offer faster and more flexible payroll options. The integration aims to address financial stress among frontline workers by giving them access to wages as they earn them, without traditional biweekly delays.

Through the partnership, employers using Workstream can now provide workers with free access to a portion of their earned wages after each shift via Instant Financial. This earned wage access (EWA) feature can be seamlessly activated within Workstream’s platform, allowing employers to improve job satisfaction and retention without increasing overhead.

“Too often, hourly workers face unnecessary financial barriers that could be solved with faster access to their pay,” said Desmond Lim, CEO and co-founder of Workstream. “We’re excited to partner with Instant Financial to bring more flexibility and dignity to frontline workers, and to help employers improve retention through smart, modern payroll solutions.”

This collaboration reflects growing momentum in the shift toward worker-centric pay models. According to Workstream, nearly 50% of hourly employees leave their jobs within 90 days—a problem that solutions like EWA aim to ease by reducing financial stress and boosting engagement.

The integration is now available to all Workstream customers in the U.S., offering a simple, no-cost way to enhance compensation experiences for hourly staff.
