Paychex has unveiled a new wave of AI-powered innovations designed to transform the human capital management (HCM) experience and make enterprise-grade AI accessible to businesses of all sizes. The company’s latest enhancements shift its platforms from user-driven tools to intelligent systems that automate tasks, anticipate needs, and deliver precise insights across the employee lifecycle.

The rollout includes agentic AI for payroll automation, a patent-pending system that extracts insights from unstructured data, and new GenAI platforms that generate personalized recommendations. These additions build on Paychex’s long-standing use of AI Assistants, which have resolved millions of client questions through conversational chat interfaces. Together, they mark a significant step in Paychex’s strategy to create AI-first experiences across Paychex Flex®, Paycor®, and SurePayroll.

“We are accelerating innovation across our platforms to democratize AI with a goal of making enterprise-grade AI technology accessible to all businesses,” said John Gibson, president and CEO of Paychex. He emphasized that the company’s extensive datasets uniquely position it to deliver measurable improvements in revenue, efficiency, and client satisfaction—results many AI adopters struggle to achieve.

The company also launched a GenAI-driven employment law platform. This tool guides users through regulatory challenges and helps create compliant documents. A new GenAI system for sales and service teams simplifies support. It gathers insights, offers tailored guidance, and gives proactive recommendations based on past interactions.
