Private online health insurance marketplace eHealth and health benefits administration platform Nexben have announced a strategic partnership to launch a new employee-centric Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement (ICHRA) solution. This collaborative platform integrates eHealth’s three decades of marketplace enrollment and advisory expertise with Nexben’s robust ICHRA administration and automated premium payment technology. Designed to combat year-over-year rising healthcare expenses, the solution gives employers greater cost flexibility, offering average savings of 17% while allowing employees to compare and select from hundreds of Affordable Care Act (ACA)-compliant plans. Furthermore, the system equips licensed insurance brokers with data-driven smart quoting technology to efficiently transition clients into these scalable defined contribution frameworks.

Highlighting the consumer-first approach of the venture, Derrick Duke, CEO of eHealth, stated, “This partnership seeks to help make it easier for people to shop for health coverage with the same clarity and confidence they expect in other parts of their lives. Together with Nexben, our goal is to strengthen what we deliver to employers and licensed insurance brokers, and make it easier for employees to compare plans, get quotes, enroll, and access support.” Emphasizing the mutual commitment to modernizing corporate healthcare benefits, Mark Smith, CEO of Nexben, added, “Nexben’s partnership with eHealth was driven by a shared commitment to simplifying health benefits administration while also expanding employee choice. By combining Nexben’s ICHRA administration and payment capabilities with eHealth’s marketplace and advisory expertise, we are focused on putting control back into the hands of consumers. We aim to achieve this by serving as the off-ramp for employers dealing with rising health insurance costs while giving employees what they want, not just what they need.”
