Skillsoft has indicated a drastic change in the trends of enterprise learning, with the adoption rate for AI-enabled personalized learning solutions shooting up significantly due to the increasing trend of employee skill development within their day-to-day tasks. The company has stated that the usage rate for its proprietary AI-enabled learning solution, CAISY™, increased by 146% year-over-year, while the usage of simulation learning solutions rose 341%. These statistics show a deviation from traditional, passive learning programs towards more active and experiential learning practices, where employees can learn through practical application and gain immediate feedback.

With the heavy investments being made in AI solutions ($2.5 trillion in 2026), Skillsoft underscores the need to ensure workforce readiness. “Since its launch in 2023, CAISY has reflected a broader shift toward learning that happens in the flow of work,” said Gina Smith, PhD, Research Director at IDC. “By using AI-supported, practice-based experiences across a range of skill areas, Skillsoft enables organizations to help employees build and apply skills in real work contexts, rather than separating learning from day-to-day execution.”
