Traliant Launches Updated Workplace Violence Prevention Training to Enhance Safety and Compliance

Share

Traliant has introduced redesigned Workplace Violence Prevention courses aimed at helping organizations comply with OSHA and California SB 553 requirements amid rising incidents of workplace violence. The updated training includes refreshed modules for both California and non-California employers, with specialized versions for manufacturing, retail, logistics and a newly developed California healthcare-specific course aligned with the 8 CCR 3342 standard and mandates in several other states. The launch follows findings from Traliant’s 2025 Workplace Violence Prevention Report, which shows employee exposure to workplace violence is increasing, with those witnessing incidents rising from 25% to 30% and those personally targeted increasing from 12% to 15%.

“Workplace violence remains a growing concern across all industries, and employers have a duty to protect their people,” said Bailey Whitsitt, Compliance Counsel at Traliant, emphasizing the need for stronger training and procedures. The updated courses use realistic scenarios, interactive red-flag identification activities and hands-on de-escalation practice, addressing confidence gaps especially prevalent among Gen Z and Millennial employees. To improve efficiency and relevance, each course features a built-in profiler that automatically tailors content to an employee’s role and location. The new modules also complement Traliant’s retail-focused training designed to help New York employers meet requirements under the state’s new Retail Workplace Violence Prevention Law.
