The Planet Group (TPG), a global provider of strategic staffing and advisory services, has appointed industry veteran Kip Wright as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. The leadership transition comes as the company continues expanding its staffing and consulting operations across global markets. TPG is a portfolio company of Odyssey Investment Partners.
Wright brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in staffing, workforce solutions, and consulting. Throughout his career, he has built and scaled organizations, driven operational excellence, and helped businesses adapt to changing workforce demands while delivering stronger outcomes for clients.
Prior to joining The Planet Group, Wright served as CEO and Chairman of INSPYR Solutions, where he transformed the business from a regional staffing provider with approximately $70 million in revenue into a national technology staffing and consulting firm generating more than $350 million annually. He also previously led Manpower’s $2 billion contingent staffing business across the United States and Canada and held senior executive positions at COMSYS/TAPFIN, contributing to the company’s growth as a global managed services leader.

The appointment comes during a period of strong momentum for The Planet Group, which has continued to broaden its portfolio of staffing and advisory services. The company has also earned recognition from Staffing Industry Analysts as one of the largest staffing firms and IT staffing providers in the United States.

His appointment reflects The Planet Group’s continued focus on expanding its market presence while strengthening its leadership for long-term growth.
