Fuel50 has launched a new Skills Growth Predictive Model, aimed at helping HR leaders directly link workforce development initiatives to measurable improvements in employee skills. The capability, now available within Fuel50 Insights for Strategic plan customers, is designed to shift learning and development (L&D) from a cost center to a data-driven driver of workforce readiness.
As organizations face increasing pressure to reskill employees while justifying L&D investments, many HR teams struggle to demonstrate tangible outcomes. While activity metrics are widely available, proving their impact on skills progression has remained a challenge. Fuel50’s new model addresses this gap by connecting development efforts to actual skills growth, offering a clearer picture of what drives results.
“HR leaders don’t need more dashboards – they need answers. It shows where to focus, what to scale, and how to confidently back workforce investments with data.”— Anne Fulton, CEO and Founder, Fuel50

This model looks into the data of historical skills and participation in critical developmental tasks such as internal gigs, mentoring, setting goals, and feedback loops. The purpose of this is to determine what specific actions correlate well with the development of skills. This will help organizations focus on what really matters, as well as make forecasts regarding what can happen with different levels of participation.
Through an easy-to-use interactive dashboard, the system is accessible to any user in the organization regardless of technical know-how. Through the system, organizations can create a baseline for skill development expectations, determine the best tools to use in skill development, and forecast future scenarios.
In contrast to traditional reports, this model uses an annualized basis for skills data analysis, thus minimizing the effects of volatility on such data and providing more credible analysis from a long-term perspective. In combination with demand predictions from the outside market, the solution will allow organizations to have a holistic picture of internal skills and future demands.
With this new release, Fuel50 is hoping to help companies obtain insights that can guide them in their strategic workforce planning.
