HCLTech and Pearson Forge Global Alliance to Drive AI-Driven Learning and Workforce Readiness

Global education leader Pearson and digital technology firm HCLTech have announced a multi-year strategic partnership aimed at addressing the growing global skills gap through AI-powered learning and workforce solutions.

This collaboration brings together Pearson’s extensive experience in education and assessment with HCLTech’s digital and AI capabilities, including its GenAI platform, AI Force, and Career Shaper™ to develop next-generation tools that support skill-building, career progression, and workforce transformation in an increasingly AI-centric world.

As part of the agreement, Pearson will integrate HCLTech’s engineering and EdTech services to enhance its AI-driven offerings across enterprises, higher education, and public sector initiatives. In turn, HCLTech will embed Pearson’s adaptive learning and assessment solutions, including Faethm AI and Credly, into its internal HR systems to support employee upskilling, credentialing, and talent development.

The partnership will focus on three core areas:

  • Go-to-Market Acceleration: Joint development of scalable learning and assessment products tailored for enterprise clients in high-demand industries.

  • AI Innovation Lab: A dedicated tech lab to co-create GenAI-based learning experiences, leveraging HCLTech’s Career Shaper™ platform.

  • Strategic Talent Design: Combined capabilities in analytics and talent development to offer organizations actionable insights for reducing skill gaps and aligning learning strategies with business needs.
