Workera Introduces Credly Integration to Transform Workforce Skills into Verifiable Digital Credentials

Share

Workera, a leading enterprise skills data platform, has announced a strategic integration with Credly by Pearson. This new technical alignment allows organizations to automatically issue digital credentials immediately upon a learner’s completion of eligible Workera development programs. The partnership is aimed at helping businesses change their employee training achievement into portable and verifiable proof of skills that can easily be traced not only across internal corporate systems but also on external professional networks.

With technological advances happening at an unprecedented rate, corporate training priorities are set to change dramatically. The World Economic Forum has forecasted that as much as 39% of a worker’s main skills will be different by 2030. Although companies keep heavily investing in skills development, a lot of business leaders find it really difficult to quantify or show the results of these efforts since completion indicators are often locked in isolated, old learning management systems. Workera’s integration with Credly addresses this structural visibility gap by transforming validated capability development into transparent, auditable evidence of overall workforce readiness.

“In the age of AI, capability is the most important differentiator for enterprises, but capability only creates value if organizations can measure it, recognize it, and operationalize it at scale,” said Jim Hemgen, VP of Partnerships at Workera. “This integration helps enterprises turn workforce achievements into portable, verifiable proof of capability that can be used for effective talent decisions. Together with Credly, we’re helping enterprises turn skills development into a durable signal of readiness, growth, and business impact.”

Automated Workflows and Retroactive Credentialing

The platform integration establishes an automated workflow that issues Credly badges the moment a learner fulfills specific Workera program requirements. Enterprise administrators can map distinct Workera development paths directly to customized Credly badge templates, removing the manual administrative overhead typically required to review, verify, and award corporate credentials.

Once issued, employees can claim, manage, and share their digital badges through the Credly platform, allowing them to showcase verified achievements across internal human resource information systems (HRIS), talent marketplaces, and professional networks like LinkedIn. Learners can also track both pending and earned credentials directly within the native Workera user interface. Furthermore, the integration supports retroactive issuance, enabling enterprise administrators to award badges to employees who successfully completed eligible programs prior to the activation of the Credly integration.

“More than ever, organizations need greater visibility into the skills they have today and the capabilities they will need tomorrow,” said Melissa Matlins, Client Partner Executive, Pearson. “Workera recognizes that workforce readiness depends on connecting learning, skills, and opportunity. Their approach to bringing skills intelligence and digital credentials together is helping create a more connected talent ecosystem for employees and employers alike.”

By anchoring verified program completion to portable digital credentials, Workera and Credly provide executive leadership teams with a more transparent and actionable skills ecosystem. For the broader workforce, the integration offers recognized, tamper-proof verification of expertise that remains relevant throughout their career progression. Simultaneously, it equips front-line managers with clear data regarding team operational readiness, giving corporate executives empirical evidence of workforce transformation velocity and organizational AI readiness.
