Ideagen Acquires WorkSafe Guardian to Strengthen Lone-Worker Safety in APAC

Share

Ideagen, a global leader in health, safety, and risk management software, has acquired Australian-based WorkSafe Guardian (WSG), a provider of advanced lone-worker safety solutions. The deal expands Ideagen’s environmental, health, safety, and quality (EHSQ) portfolio while reinforcing its footprint in the Asia-Pacific market.

“Lone workers are often the most vulnerable of any workforce, either because they are going into unpredictable environments or because it’s difficult to alert help if they get into difficulty,” said Ben Dorks, CEO of Ideagen. “The addition of WorkSafe Guardian to our portfolio demonstrates our commitment to investing in powerful safety solutions that help businesses protect their staff and operations and address a growing segment of worker safety concern.”

WSG’s app-based platform offers 24/7 monitoring, real-time emergency alerts, and reporting features—critical for sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, and construction. With over 15% of the global workforce classified as lone workers (National Safety Council), the acquisition addresses a pressing safety challenge.

Greg Lindner, Co-founder and Director of WSG, said the move will “bring our innovative solutions to a much broader global audience” and provide customers with enhanced compliance tools.

The deal marks Ideagen’s fifth acquisition in 2025, following recent expansions with Beakon, Damstra, and other APAC-focused solutions, as the company continues to build an integrated safety and compliance ecosystem.
