In a move set to redefine enterprise development, Andela and Emergence AI have announced a strategic partnership aimed at preparing software engineers for the rapidly evolving world of agentic AI. The collaboration, revealed at VentureBeat Transform 2025, will combine Andela’s global technical talent marketplace with Emergence AI’s cutting-edge multi-agent technologies to create a robust upskilling initiative for developers and an accessible deployment model for enterprises.
The partnership centers around a flagship program designed to train engineers in building and implementing intelligent multi-agent systems at scale. Emergence will contribute its proprietary agentic technology, while Andela will leverage its network of 150,000 developers and enterprise delivery infrastructure. This joint effort addresses two major hurdles in enterprise AI adoption: a shortage of skilled talent and a lack of scalable implementation models.
The program will include hands-on training, project-based service models, and deployment playbooks to help enterprises integrate AI systems more efficiently and effectively. The broader goal is to empower developers not just to adapt to AI but to lead its strategic implementation across industries.
“As AI takes on more of the routine execution, the real opportunity is to empower talent and help engineers grow into system thinkers, AI supervisors, and strategic builders,” said Carrol Chang, CEO of Andela. “Agentic AI is a catalyst for the next wave of upskilling, and we’re thrilled to partner with Emergence to give developers the tools and training to lead in a world where human judgment and machine intelligence work in tandem.”

Emergence AI CEO and Co-founder Satya Nitta added, “We’re entering a new era of computing — driven by autonomous, agentic systems that can reason, learn, and collaborate. This shift demands a new kind of developer, one who can orchestrate intelligent systems, not just write code.”
During their joint appearance at VentureBeat Transform, the two leaders discussed the rising demand for AI-literate talent, the need for change management, and how agentic systems are reshaping enterprise execution. Nitta also introduced CRAFT, Emergence AI’s new self-serve platform that empowers non-technical users to create self-verifying multi-agent systems, addressing the costly inefficiencies in traditional enterprise data pipelines.
Chang emphasized the importance of supporting talent through this shift. “At Andela, we see this moment not as a threat, but as a generational opportunity. Not to replace people, but to elevate them.”
With a clear focus on people, tools, and transformation, the partnership aims to redefine what it means to be a developer in the age of intelligent systems — blending human insight with AI-powered execution to drive the next era of enterprise innovation.
