Vitable Health Launches AI-Powered ACA Compliance Service for Hourly Workforce Employers

Share

Vitable Health has rolled out ACA Autopilot a completely managed compliance solution that aims at assisting small and mid-sized businesses in navigating Affordable Care Act (ACA) requirements for hourly and variable-hour employees in a quite easy and stress-free manner. This launch intends not only to lessen the administrative burden and heavy costs of potential risks that go hand-in-hand with ACA compliance, but it is quite a target example of the situation when a company dealing with retail construction food service, home care, or similar industries where the working hours of employees keep changing all the time.

The newly launched product uses a combination of an AI-driven automation tool and compliance experts who help with eligibility tracking, reporting, and filing requirements management related to the ACA Employer Mandate. Per federal law, businesses that employ 50 or more full-time equivalent employees are obligated to provide qualifying health insurance coverage or risk IRS penalties. These responsibilities not only involve time and labor to continuously monitor employee hours but also require sophisticated computations to determine eligibility and maintaining thorough documentation for audit purposes.

ACA Autopilot is designed to automate much of that process. The service continuously tracks workforce eligibility, triggers coverage offers when employees qualify, and generates monthly compliance reports. A second tier, ACA Autopilot + Defense, adds legal support for IRS audits, including penalty response management and assistance with official correspondence.

“Eighty million Americans work hourly jobs, most of them for small employers who are one IRS audit letter away from a six-figure penalty they didn’t see coming. Not because they did anything wrong, but because the system was never built to help them get it right,” said Joseph Kitonga. “With ACA Autopilot, we’re taking work that often requires an army of compliance experts completely off their plates, so they can focus on their people instead of paperwork. This is what rebuilding benefits administration from the ground up actually looks like.”

The platform builds on Vitable Health’s existing services, which already include IRS form preparation and filing. By extending automation into year-round monitoring and audit defense, the company aims to make enterprise-grade compliance support accessible to employers operating on tighter budgets.

Vitable Health said the initiative aligns with its broader mission of improving healthcare access for America’s hourly workforce, a segment that often faces limited insurance coverage due to the complexity of employer-sponsored benefits administration.
