Rippling, the major platform for AI handling integrated HR, IT, and Finance operations, has announced a “Preferred Carrier Program” offering API-based direct integration with top benefits carriers such as Guardian, MetLife, and Unum through their new program. The cooperative effort will fundamentally eliminate legacy, manual data transfer processes known to cause errors of administrations through an automated system that enables complete sharing of employee eligibility, enrollment, and coverage data on a real-time basis. By building their integration architecture jointly with the carriers who opt-in for the program, Rippling sets clear service level expectations, and establishes collaborative mechanisms for quick resolution of issues in specific carrier locations. Implementation will first focus on enabling immediate enrollment of employees and then gradually extend automation to every part of the benefits management lifecycle such as plan configuration and continued programmatic coverage approvals. While new corporate clients gain immediate access to these integrated networks, existing accounts will be systematically transitioned via a phased, 12-month migration window. Highlighting how integrated data flows mitigate workplace disruption, Jessica Slabaugh, Head of Benefits Marketplace Partnerships at Rippling, remarked: “When benefits data doesn’t move correctly between systems, employees and HR teams feel the impact. Customers using Preferred Carriers benefit from partnerships that are co-developed, held to shared operating standards, and designed to continuously deliver new capabilities over time.”

Commenting on the operational simplicity delivered to administrators, Anna Roberts, Head of Digital Strategy and Offerings at Guardian, stated: “Guardian’s collaboration with Rippling reflects a shared commitment to helping deliver a seamless and connected benefits administration experience. By working closely together, we’re using real-time data exchange to simplify setup and management for employers and brokers, while supporting employee well-being by making benefits easier to access and use.” Focusing on the real-world value unlocked for SMBs, Bradd Chignoli, Head of Regional Business at MetLife, explained: “Small and mid-sized businesses need benefits that work in the real world. Collaborations like Rippling’s Preferred Carrier partnership help reduce friction and create more connected experiences for employees, making it easier for employers and brokers to support their people while staying focused on running and growing their business.” Concluding on the technical precision guaranteed by the framework, Ray Russell, AVP of Platform Integration at Unum, stated: “The strength of Rippling’s model is the combination of direct API connectivity and an operating framework that keeps both organizations tightly aligned. That structure dramatically improves data accuracy, reduces rework, and gives us confidence that eligibility and enrollment changes are flowing correctly every time.”
