Empyrean Launches Empyrean Halo to Unify Artificial Intelligence Across HR Benefits Operations

Share

Benefits administration technology vendor Empyrean has launched Empyrean Haloan embedded intelligence layer that integrates benefits data, workflows, and operational service teams across the employee benefits lifecycle.

Through contextual artificial intelligence that is embedded in each part of participant support, onboarding, and ongoing administration, it closes the gap between plan design and employee adoption.

Empyrean Halo isn’t just a stand-alone, conversational bot. It is a constant intelligence architecture, tying together plan eligibility rules, customer service history, and back-office configuration information with the digital conversations conducted each day and with real-time live agent behavior.

Touch upon the pain points in HR technology today that rather than using integrated systems, many organizations acquire disparate point solutions that frustrate users and add operational load to internal HR teams.

Grounding AI in Operational Context and Service Accountability

Empyrean Halo anchors machine learning models to validated organizational policies and rules to maintain context regardless if a user is interacting online via self-service tools or via live support from a member of the internal support team.

Maximum Digital Resolution: The digital assistant successfully resolves at least 92% of participant questions on the first try, and 98% of all sessions were successfully completed with the digital assistant without escalation to human representatives. Multilingual Engagement Support: supports real-time responsive interaction in over 100 languages.

An estimated 10% of all digital interactions are in Spanish.

Ability to improve service desk metrics: Brings live support agents with automated call documentation, immediate context summaries, and patient sentiment indicators that have resulted in a 93% first call resolution and a 30% decrease in repeat callers, a 25% drop in service escalations, and a 95% average customer interaction-quality score. Reduced implementation schedules.

Link setup needs, testing documentation and configuration choices to what is happening every day on the platform, which offers up to a quarter cut in implementation effort on clients, and leads to at least a 15% decrease in time to deploy.

“AI creates value when it makes benefits easier to understand, service more effective, and administration more reliable,” said Kelly Clark, Chief Technology Officer at Empyrean. “Empyrean Halo puts that intelligence to work across the benefits experience while keeping expert accountability at the center.”

“Empyrean Halo helps us reduce implementation effort without reducing the rigor within it,” said Colleen Waymel, Chief Operating Officer at Empyrean. “That means easier onboarding for employers, stronger requirements, and a more reliable foundation for ongoing administration.”

Driving Personalization and Financial Savings

Beyond operational and administrative enhancements, the intelligence framework powers personalized decision-support tools like Precision Benefits. More than 80% of eligible employees opt into the AI-assisted enrollment experience. Participants who align their selections with recommended guidance realize median savings of approximately $1,800 annually, with high-utilization cases generating upwards of $4,000 in annual out-of-pocket savings.

Empyrean Halo is natively integrated across Empyrean’s suite of benefits administration, engagement, and operational compliance solutions.
