Workera Launches Voice-Enabled Skills Verification with Sage to Deliver Real-Time Workforce Insights

Share

Workera, a leader in AI-powered skills verification, has introduced Talk for Sage, a new voice-enabled capability that transforms natural conversations into real-time skills assessments. The feature allows employees to articulate their knowledge out loud, receive adaptive follow-up questions, and be evaluated on how effectively they apply their skills rather than relying solely on right-or-wrong answers.

“The future of skills verification is multi-modal and conversational,” said Kian Katanforoosh, CEO of Workera. “With Talk, Sage listens like a great mentor — probing, adapting, and recognizing partial mastery in real time. It captures the thinking behind the answer, not just the final result, so every learner gets a fair chance to show what they can do and every leader gets sharper, more predictive talent data.”

Engineered to replicate the experience of a trusted mentor, Sage’s voice mode offers natural dialogue, adaptive follow-ups, and minimal cognitive load. Each interaction leverages Workera’s advanced psychometrics and skill-mapping models, enabling partial credit for nuanced responses. The system supports multiple languages, maintains latency under 1.2 seconds, and dynamically adjusts difficulty to better reflect real-world performance.

Sage now enables employees to demonstrate skills in practical scenarios such as code reviews or stakeholder communications, generating richer and more authentic insights for business leaders. The launch coincides with findings from Workera’s 2025 State of Skills Intelligence report, which revealed that only 32% of learning leaders feel their programs effectively close skill gaps, while just 22% of employees believe their organizations will be fully AI-ready within two years.

With IDC projecting AI-related skill shortages to cost organizations up to $5.5 trillion in lost productivity by 2026, Workera positions its verified skills intelligence as a critical solution. Alongside Talk, the company rolled out enhancements including a new scoring model beyond pass/fail, personalized skill maps, AI-driven mentoring from partners like O’Reilly and LinkedIn Learning, and advanced analytics dashboards for deeper workforce insights.
