Vetano has rolled out a resume-less recruitment service throughout the entire country. The service has replaced resumes with skill videos approved through ID verification. This service gives employers the chance to check the actual skill levels of potential employees before the interview process. The service was rolled out especially for the performance-oriented sector.
Rather than submitting resumes, applicants to Vetano record video answers that highlight skills that can apply to a position. A barber can record an answer to a fade cut, a cook can answer questions about knife skills, or a tradesman can answer questions related to repairing something. Not only does this give an immediate assessment of skills to the hiring manager, it also provides an opportunity to evaluate an individual’s ability to communicate and be dependable, usually missing from the resume-screened hiring process.
This type of hiring process is especially beneficial to applicants who perform well under normal interview conditions but do not shine when it comes to sit-down interviews.
“Hiring for decades has utilized bullet points to measure actual talent,” stated Chris Fairley, founder and CEO at Vetano. “However, job descriptions lack actual demonstration of work performance. Vetano provides employers with a more accurate and human-like means to measure talent—by showcasing their skills before being interviewed.”

Trust is an integral element that is a part of the site. ID verification is done for both candidates and employers, making it a more credible marketplace. Additionally, employers can enhance their page with photos and videos that display culture, standards, and environments that would give candidates a better idea if they are a suitable match or not.
Vetano is designed for sectors that require practical skills, such as restaurants and hospitality, hair and beauty salons, tradesmen, car services, and construction. The platform also supports employees working on a gig or project basis in order to handle additional demand. It supports both part-time and gig workers of a company.
By merging the processes of discovery, evaluation, and verification in only one interface, Vetano is working to shorten the time of recruiting from weeks or even months to mere days. “On Vetano, employers can search, watch, verify, and connect in the same visit,” Fairley said. “We want to enable companies to move quicker – without losing trust.”
