ManpowerGroup has entered a global partnership with Hubert to broaden the use of AI-powered interviewing while maintaining a strong human focus in hiring decisions. This partnership will enhance Manpower Group’s “Humans First, Digital Always” approach by combining AI with human recruiters to address talent shortages around the world.
With 72% of employers worldwide citing difficulties in finding talent, organizations are under pressure to improve hiring processes. However, Manpower Group believes technology is key to solving talent shortages as long as it complements human judgment and does not replace it. The structured AI interviews using Hubert will help speed up hiring in the initial stages of recruitment.
“This partnership puts people at the center of hiring, candidates and employers alike,” said Valerie Beaulieu-James, Chief Growth & Innovation Officer at ManpowerGroup. “When AI handles early screening, our recruiters focus on what no algorithm can replicate: understanding potential, building trust, and connecting people to meaningful work. That’s ‘The Human Edge’ in action.”

The AI-enabled framework delivers several advantages. Candidates can interview anytime. Over 60% do this outside of regular office hours, which boosts accessibility and flexibility. Structured assessments evaluate applicants based on consistent, role-specific criteria. This approach supports precise matching and helps reduce bias. Employers benefit from earlier identification of qualified talent, while candidates receive faster feedback.
Final hiring decisions stay with ManpowerGroup’s recruiters. They ensure context is considered and provide informed recommendations.
“Every candidate deserves a fair, consistent assessment and smooth experience, regardless of when or where they apply,” Hubert CEO Fredrik Östgren said. “Hubert is making hiring more accessible and equitable at scale – and with ManpowerGroup as a trusted partner, we’re bringing that impact to even more people worldwide.”
Following successful rollouts in several markets, ManpowerGroup plans to extend the partnership throughout 2026 as part of its broader AI-driven ecosystem, which includes potential-based assessments, career development tools, and labor market intelligence—all designed with ethics and human oversight at the core.
