Digits Launches Expanded Payroll Connectivity Across 18 Leading Providers

Share

Digits Financial Inc. has expanded the payroll connectivity of its accounting platform, enabling businesses and accounting firms to sync payroll data from 18 additional providers directly into its AI-powered Agentic General Ledger™ (AGL®). The update broadens the platform’s integration ecosystem and aims to simplify payroll accounting by eliminating manual processes traditionally required to move payroll data into financial systems.

With the new release, organizations can connect widely used payroll platforms—including ADP (Run and Workforce Now), Paychex Flex, Paylocity, Intuit Online Payroll, Square Payroll, and UKG Pro—without needing to export files or upload spreadsheets. Once a payroll run is completed, the data automatically flows into the Digits ledger through secure API connections, where it is categorized and recorded instantly.

The company says the new functionality enhances automation and financial visibility. Payroll-related transactions—including wages, taxes, benefits, reimbursements, and deductions—are automatically categorized by the AI-driven ledger system. The platform also allocates payroll expenses by department, providing finance teams with clearer insights into workforce costs and budgeting.

“Payroll is one of the most important and nuanced areas of accounting,” said Jeff Seibert, CEO and Founder of Digits. “By expanding payroll connectivity, we’re eliminating manual processes while using AI to intelligently categorize and book complex payroll entries. This ensures our customers get accurate, real-time financials without the tedium.”

Payroll information plays a critical role in financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and cash flow management. However, many finance teams still rely on time-consuming workflows—such as exporting CSV files, mapping columns, and manually entering journal entries—to reconcile payroll data. Digits aims to remove these steps by embedding payroll intelligence directly within the ledger itself.

As an AI-native accounting platform, Digits continues to broaden its integration capabilities to bring financial data from multiple systems into one unified view. By automating payroll data handling and synchronizing information in real time, the company aims to help businesses and accounting professionals reduce reconciliation work and focus more on strategic financial decision-making.
