Sequifi, the modern infrastructure for retaining and growing America’s essential home service workforce, announced it has raised $6.7 million in seed funding to accelerate product development and expand to support exciting new market segments. The round was led by Cervin Ventures, with participation from Frazier Group and Tokyo Black.
The company serves mid-market and enterprise home service companies across pest control, solar, HVAC, mortgage, landscaping, fiber, roofing, plumbing, and electrical services.
These industries face critical workforce shortages despite projected growth exceeding 50% by 2030. More than 72.7 million Americans now work as independent contractors, with many in skilled trades that can’t be outsourced or automated. While AI disrupts jobs, the home services industry is expected to reach $156 billion by 2030. Yet over 50% of home service businesses report difficulties finding qualified workers, and 2.1 million skilled trades jobs are projected to go unfilled by 2030.
Home service companies are losing billions every year to 45% worker turnover—driven by delayed pay, confusing commissions, and outdated back-office systems. The result: an industry growing faster than its ability to staff.

Sequifi was built to fix this. Created by field services veterans who lived the pain firsthand, it’s the first all-in-one workforce platform purpose-built for home services. By combining real-time payroll, forecasting, HR, and performance tools in one system, Sequifi gives companies the infrastructure they need to scale—and gives workers the same-day pay and transparency they deserve.
“We built Sequifi because we’ve lived this problem,” said Roshan Kumar, co-founder and CEO. “The home services industry has been underserved despite its size and importance. It still relies on outdated tools and broken systems. Having been installers, crew leads, and operators ourselves, we know these pain points firsthand. This industry deserves better, and workers deserve to get paid the same day they finish the job.”
