Fountain Expands AI-Powered Shift Management to Transform Frontline Workforce Operations

Share

Fountain has introduced major enhancements to Fountain Shift, its AI-native scheduling and workforce management solution designed to streamline operations for large frontline teams. The update addresses longstanding challenges highlighted in the World Economic Forum’s report, which notes that unlike office roles supported by modern productivity tools, frontline work remains burdened by slow hiring cycles and unpredictable schedules. Fountain Shift automates manual scheduling, dynamically updates shifts, and ensures compliance through AI agents that create, adjust, and fulfill schedules in real time.“Frontline teams don’t need one more system to manage, they need tools that actually take work off their plate,” said Sean Behr, CEO at Fountain, emphasizing how the platform keeps shifts covered, compliant, and accurate.

Additional capabilities include automated notifications to qualified workers, POS integration for demand-based staffing, mobile-enabled shift changes, and GPS-based time tracking to reduce errors and time theft. Chief product officer Salim Jernite added, “Scheduling isn’t just a planning problem, it’s a live operational challenge,” noting that the release enables teams to stay ahead of changes while upholding labor rules. Fountain Shift also powers the company’s broader Frontline OS and feeds into Fountain Copilot, which autonomously builds schedules, fills gaps, and identifies compliance risks.
