Joy Metrics (formerly known as SE Healthcare) recently formed a partnership with the Mayo Clinic to boost predictive intelligence within workforce management, especially with respect to early detection of the risks of clinician fatigue and burnout. The goal of this program is to combine operational data on workforce, including such variables as staff schedules, workload metrics, and other related data with clinical fatigue assessments to help health systems respond proactively to fatigue prior to its effects on turnover rates, quality of care delivery, and patient safety.

Through leveraging the experience of experts alongside analytics, this platform aims to steer healthcare facilities away from responding only after the fact to surveys toward taking a more proactive stance. “Health systems are under tremendous pressure to protect their workforce while delivering high-quality patient care.
