SailPoint Expands Certification Ecosystem to Tackle Cybersecurity Skills Gap

Share

SailPoint has launched a new Recertification Program and the SailPoint Certified Identity Security Administrator credential. This program addresses the growing cybersecurity skills gap and verifies real-world identity security skills. As companies aim to upskill during talent shortages—especially in identity security—SailPoint’s expanded certification system focuses on enhancing current teams rather than just hiring new staff. The Recertification Program lets professionals extend their certifications for two years. They just need to pass qualifying exams. This promotes ongoing learning and keeps skills aligned with changing best practices.

The new administrator certification emphasizes cloud-based identity security. It includes platform management, lifecycle processes, provisioning, access governance, and virtual appliances. “SailPoint is reinforcing its commitment to strengthening the cybersecurity talent market by helping organizations train their existing employees to further develop their skills,” said Meredith Blanchar, Chief Customer Officer at SailPoint. With over 12,000 certified professionals and adoption of Credly for digital badging, SailPoint is modernizing credential recognition while expanding access to validated identity expertise.
