SAP has announced a definitive agreement to acquire SmartRecruiters, a leading provider of talent acquisition software, in a strategic move aimed at enhancing its SAP SuccessFactors human capital management (HCM) suite. The acquisition will bring SmartRecruiters’ strengths in high-volume hiring, recruitment automation, and AI-powered candidate engagement into SAP’s broader HR ecosystem, reinforcing its capabilities to help organizations attract, hire, and retain top talent globally.
With a user-centric design and streamlined hiring workflows, SmartRecruiters offers an intuitive experience for recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates alike. Its platform, used by over 4,000 organizations worldwide, will integrate into SAP’s HCM suite to deliver improved hiring efficiency, faster decision-making, and deeper analytics through AI and embedded insights.

Once completed, the deal will enable SAP customers to manage the full candidate lifecycle—from sourcing to onboarding—within a single platform. SmartRecruiters will continue to be available as a standalone solution for the foreseeable future.

The transaction is expected to close in Q4 2025, subject to regulatory approvals and customary conditions. Financial terms have not been disclosed. J.P. Morgan acted as the exclusive financial advisor to SmartRecruiters.
