Workable Integrates I-9 and E-Verify to Streamline U.S. Hiring Compliance

Share

Workable has upgraded its onboarding software featuring compliance with Form I-9 and E-Verify for the U.S. customers, which allows HR departments the ability to check employment eligibility to the federal standards without leaving the platform. Thanks to this integration, there is no need for PDFs, external systems, or manual workflows, which have always been the main causes of a complicated compliance process.

Before, Workable users would verify I-9 their working rights outside the platform which, in many cases, would create inefficiencies and delays. Now, with the new feature that relies on Workbright, the staff can review Section 1 online with their information already filled in and to-be-uploaded documents, and the HR team can perform Section 2. If E-Verify is used, the case is automatically transmitted to the Department of Homeland Security, which means that the verification is accurate and timely.

“Onboarding sets the tone for the entire employee experience. By embedding I-9 and E-Verify directly into Workable, we’re removing the friction that slows down that critical first impression — so HR teams can focus on welcoming new hires, not chasing paperwork,” said Maria Fillippousi, Chief Product Officer at Workable.

For HR teams and hiring managers, being compliant with employment regulations in the U.S. is not only critical but also requires significant efforts. With the integration of these verification processes into the hiring workflow in Workable, organizations can avoid potential risks of mistakes and violations of employment regulations in the U.S. while streamlining the hiring process.

This integration further reiterates Workable’s focus on delivering an optimized experience for new hires from day one. With this integration of the I-9 and E-Verify process into the hiring workflow in Workable, the organization can focus more on attracting new talent rather than the hiring process itself. This makes Workable a more complete platform for U.S. hiring needs.

This integration further reiterates the trend of HR tech platforms delivering critical processes in one single and seamless experience for both the employee and the organization.
