Intuit to Acquire GoCo, Expanding HR Capabilities for SMBs

Intuit Inc. has announced its agreement to acquire GoCo, a leading HR and benefits platform tailored for small and mid-market businesses, in a strategic move to enhance its Human Capital Management (HCM) offerings. This acquisition aims to integrate GoCo’s comprehensive HR functionalities—including hiring, onboarding, benefits administration, and performance management—into Intuit’s existing product suite, particularly QuickBooks Payroll and the Intuit Enterprise Suite. Olivier Bartholot, Vice President and Segment Leader of Workforce Solutions at Intuit, stated, “GoCo brings world-class HR and benefits capabilities to our existing product portfolio. Together, we will deliver a comprehensive HCM solution to help small and mid-market businesses manage their teams, optimize productivity, and grow faster.”

GoCo’s innovative features, such as AI-driven document management and an AI Knowledge Base for HR policies, complement Intuit’s robust data and AI capabilities, promising a more streamlined and automated HR experience for users. Nir Leibovich, Co-Founder & CEO of GoCo, expressed enthusiasm about the merger, noting, “We’re excited to join Intuit to support its vision to become the only team-management platform a business needs to grow and manage its team.” The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of Intuit’s fiscal year 2025, with financial terms undisclosed.
