Thryv Launches Workforce Center to Simplify Payroll for Small Businesses

Share

Thryv®, a leading small business marketing and sales platform, has introduced Thryv Workforce Center™, a new payroll solution integrated directly into its platform and powered by Gusto™, a top provider of people management tools for small businesses. This offering aims to help growing businesses save time and minimize payroll-related errors by automating employee payments, tax calculations, and compliance—all from a single dashboard.

According to the National Small Business Association’s 2025 survey, half of small businesses spend over three hours per month managing payroll taxes. Thryv Workforce Center addresses this challenge by offering a full-service payroll system, covering everything from direct deposits and tax form generation to centralized employee data management and automated local, state, and federal filings.

“Thryv is a trusted partner to over 100,000 small businesses and when we got growing requests to add payroll functionality to our platform, we listened,” said Rees Johnson, Thryv’s Chief Product Officer.

The platform supports W-2 and 1099 workers, provides flexible payment options like checks and direct deposit via Plaid, and features an employee portal for access to pay stubs and tax documents. Transparent pricing ensures businesses only pay for active employees or contractors in a given month, with unlimited payroll runs included.

Thryv has really helped me stay on top of the money coming in and made it easier to pay my employees as we continue to grow,” said Clayton Stokum, CEO of Alpha Behavior Strategies.

Yi Liu, General Manager of Gusto Embedded, added, “We’re thrilled they partnered with Gusto Embedded to build a payroll product specifically designed for their customers within Thryv’s platform.”
