Nametag has launched Nametag Recruit, a new module for identity verification. It helps businesses fight hiring fraud from AI-generated resumes, deepfakes, and impersonation schemes. This solution works with platforms like Workday and Greenhouse. It makes sure job candidates are real people. It also helps keep their identities consistent during hiring. The launch completes Nametag’s broader Hire solution, extending identity assurance from recruitment through onboarding and access provisioning. Nametag uses patented technology to verify candidate identities. It does this without storing biometric data.

Organizations can control data management and candidates can delete their information anytime. The platform provides a simple pass-or-fail verification result. This reduces manual reviews and subjective decisions by recruiters. “Recruiting teams have been living with this problem for years without a real solution. The tools they have today were built to verify paperwork, not people,” said Aaron Painter, CEO at Nametag. The launch comes as hiring fraud becomes increasingly common, with research showing recruiters are spending significant time filtering fraudulent applications and AI-assisted impersonation attempts across enterprise hiring processes.
